Had a great time at Market Square. Always warms this old heart of mine seeing so many friends. Hats off to DC for blowing off work ( one of life's most enjoyables). During "A Long Way To Go" it dawned on me. You heard it here first. 50 is the new 16. Forget that hype about 50 being the new 40. Who wants to be 40. Too much responsibilty. Remember guys no one expects anything from you anymore and if you screw up...... well just pretend you're too old to know what you're doing or say I forgot or pretend you can't hear or see. You can get away with murder!!! I'll try it out Lee Ann and let you know if it works.

What a fun show before a packed attentive lunch time crowd. The rain held off, the sun was out, and the veggies at the farmer's market were fresh. Some highlights for me. I very fast fast opener. Dance With Me really fit well as an opener. and 994 would be a perfect tatoo. Dark and Bloody Ground stood out as the highlight. Powerful version with lots of guitar. The set list was a nice career retrospective as every era of Joe's career was represented (except the outakes cd which may never be performed). Great to see everyone as summer hangs on.
