From today's Philadelpia Inquirer 2/9/07 Joe Grushecky This Iron City rocker is no Pittsburgh stealer, a guy just copping the moves of the Boss, his sometimes cowriter, accompanist and record producer. Joe Grushecky is his own man, and his songs - honest expressions of a family man and working stiff trying to sustain a rock-and-roll career - stand out quite well on their own outside the long shadow of Bruce Springsteen. You can hear the evidence all over his latest album, A Good Life - his passion and conviction remain infectious and inspirational. It's too bad he can't bring along his powerful band, the Houserockers, but he is also a lively and engaging solo performer. - Nick Cristiano Joe Grushecky, with Kenn Kweder, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tin Angel, 20 S. Second St. Tickets: $12. Phone: 215-928-0770.

HEAD SHAVED HARP DUDE! DON’T LET ANYONE PUT PRESURE ON YOU TO CHANGE WHAT YOU ARE. YOU WERE A HOUSEROCKER BEFORE YOU MET HER! IF SHE EXPECTS YOU TO CHANGE, THE “RELATIONSHIP” IS USELESS… On to Spain?

Our prayers go out to a loyal friend & fan of the Houserockers, Denise Doyle for the loss of her father.

I downloaded Rock and Roll Heart and play it ever day. Thanks. Regarding blood and the bricks and Cracking. I understand it costs money to make cd's but would it be expensive to put it on Itunes or something similar? Like I said, I've never heard either one and would love to someday. Tell the record hot shots that they're missing money - that will get their attention. Always gets mine.
