Jojo - very funny. I guess the Puke-ettes is a very appropriate name for us! As always, a great road trip.
Too bad I was such a loser in Atlantic City, next to you and Lee "the queen of Atlantic City!" We'll have to do another "Spring Break for Seniors" soon. I love you girls! Thanks, Johnny, for taking care of this old lady. Joe and Danny - you know we love you guys even though we abuse ya! Great shows both Friday and Saturday nights. No more shnapps or tequila for me for a while...

What a great show on Friday at the House of Blues--that is what we can remember of it. Joe and Danny-you rock! Saturday at the Wonder Bar was equally great--the Houserockers sound better than ever. Congratulations on two terrific shows!! Can't wait for the next one.

John Cafferty spoke about going way back with Joe amd Joe asking him to do a benefit for Steel Workers, which Cafferty did as his father was a steel worker (who'd a thought it for a New England boy). Cafferty also spoke about Joe giving him tour of Pittsburgh to the remaining wall of Forbes field. Joe joined the band for the 3 song encore set. John graciously gave Joe the spotlight for guitar for the first song and Joe stayed on for guitar and vocals for Domino and Higher and Higher.

thanks for coming to AC Joe & Danny.

I actualy think Joe referred to them as "Goofy" it's in my notes.

I don't anything about Buck Owens other than the song the Beatles covered "Act Naturally" and 10 years as a child watching Hee Haw every Saturday.

I understand why the covers are played and that they are fun. From my first ever Houserocker gig, the song I remember most is Gimmee Shelter.

speaking of covers
I bet the Houserockers could do a mean version of "Can't Let Go" Lucinda Williams / Randy Weeks.

As always it was good seeing you at Carhop's.
Not to disagree but I don't think Joe's choices of covers are "goofy"
We all know where I stand on cover material to begin with. I've turned down lots of good paying gigs merely because they were "cover" gigs and frankly, I feel like a prostitute standing up there and playing souly for the money. That said, Joe's choices of covers, at least in my opinion , show some creative insight.
Sweet Caroline rocks and Joe..well...does sound like Neil Diamond.
AC/DC is an awesome choice.
Folsome Prison is a side of Joe most people don't see. Joe is a big fan of Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash and some great Rockabilly stuff. Besides, it lets me stretch out and show off some country pickin'
Streets of Bakersfield by Buck Owens, again shows that hidden Rockabilly side of Joe and the band.
La Grange is a rock classic with a great bluesy vibe.
We all know the Stones stuff we do just because.
Play that Funky Music is a crowd fave...always...same with Mustang and Brown Eyed but I agree Zeke...those are covered way too often.
Like you, I would always opt out for Joe's music but in places like Vegas where Joe isn't as well know yet, the covers draw the people in. It's nice to do covers that represent Joe's personality.

well. Off to pack. It's Road Trip time again!! See ya'll at the Beach.

A couple of comments about Saturday's show.

- Searching works great in the number two slot. It's a GREAT rocker and sets a good tone.

- We found out in Carnegie that none other than Bruce Springsteen is responsible for/the one to thank for Sweet Caroline. Aparently Bruce told Joe that he sounded like Neil Diamond. Joe introduced it as "secure in my sexuality" on Saturday.

- A lot has been made about the band changing up their cover songs. I think it was a good time to drop Brown Eyed Girl, Mustang Sally, Twist and Shout, etc. in favor of some new albeit goofy choices. While not the songs I would have picked, have you ever seen Joe grin so much? Folsom give the guys some nice solos to stretch it beyond Cash's two minute version. Houserocker shows have always included covers and it's nice to keep it fresh. I thought La Grange was an inspired choice.

Of course I could live with them being replaced by almost any of the original material.

- I wish I could be in Jersey. We all know Bruce is playing there on Monday and Tuesday. I hope the place isn't jammed with Bruce people who leave when Code of Silence is played. That said, if he isn't joining in, opening with that song would provide some room for true fans :)

- Who's going?

- I love John Caferty. I love gambling. I'm not going to AC damn
