Ditto Maria. Carhops is fantastic venue to see the band, and I can't say enough about the wait staff. They are really on top of things, and I was never without a full beer (and THAT is a good thing). It helped that the band was SMOKING too. A great evening.

Had such a fun time partying and dancing at Carhops on Saturday night that I just noticed that "Pumping Iron" was NOT played! A rare occurrence for a live Houserockers show!
Happy Birthday to Fancy Nancy Puharic and Dave Kramer!
I LOVE Carhops, too! Close to home and a great venue for bands.
This weekend it's off to Lake Tahoe...woo hoo!

New music on Brick Alley Radio -
We have 2 great new "soon-to-be CDs" on Brick Alley Radio:
1) the first cut at Joe's attic collection. These are remastered songs that he has pulled out of his personal collection. There are a lot of great tunes on here, or tunes done in a way that you haven't heard before.
You probably read Joe's comments on this in his journal.
Personally, I think that the blues-version of Cracking under Pressure, along with "Close Enough" and "Cigarettes and Gin" are great tunes that hopefully will make their way into the band's lineup....but that's just my opinion.
2) the HRs live in Spain 2004. Probably a forthcoming CD from the tour last year in Spain.
There are actually even more tunes than I could fit on the radio station, but this should hopefully give you a taste of what is coming.
I have the new CDs scheduled throughout the week. You can go to www.brickalleyradio.com to find the schedule for both of them.
Both of these will "probably" make their ways to CDs available on the website sometime soon, but at least you can start checking it out now until then.
When I get a chance I'll put a song or two of free downloads from each CD on our site also...
Please let me & everybody else know how it sounds, and enjoy!!

If you haven't checked out Joe's second journal entry, get over and read it now. Great background on his earliest days playing around town -- and additional info on that upcoming demos and outtakes double disc.
An observation: Self-released projects like this one are among the greatest boons of this techie world. Where a multinational label couldn't be bothered, we now have a scenario where the artists will be rewarded with a bit of very hard-earned cash, and the fans will be rewarded with more music (and video) from their heroes. The major record labels won't be disappearing anytime soon, but we sure don't need 'em.
A request: Could we get a link to Joe's blog site from the main web page, instead of having to go to the news section first? Just an idea.
Thanks! Keith Harrison

Hey all, Just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to everyone for Saturday night. We had a blast filming the show!! What great fans!! Thanks to Joe and the Houserockers, Johnny G, Joe's crew and the Hard Rock staff for treating us so well! The show was amazing! We have about 16 hours of tape to work with. It will take a little time but it will be worth it I can assure you. The music was obviously amazing and I can tell you that the video is stunning! You will not be dissapointed!!
