I wanted to second Zeke's comments on how good it was to hear some rarely heard songs on Saturday. "Don't Give Up the Ghost," YEAH!
The Houserockers are truly a great band and we are lucky to have them in Pittsburgh.
How about playing "Spanish Blood" on Saturday in honor of your upcoming trip to Spain?
Anyone thinking of making the trip to the Jersey shore for the Stone Pony show? I am looking for someone to drive from Pittsburgh with.

Zeke..what if they're right? The band would lose 25 pounds each and you'd drop $800 on beer.

I called the Woodland Zoo & Farmington Entertainment Park to get detail on the July 16th gig. After initially stating that Joe wasn't playing there this summer, they dug deeper and acknowledged that he was.
I asked what time the band was playing and they said, "1:00 pm until 11."
At this point, I stopped asking questions. They did say that BEER will be served.
The zoo looks pretty cool. Here's their website

So I'm sitting there Saturday listening to the first three songs thinking, "wow is that waitress hot," errr no I mean, "sounds good tonight regular set it's all good."
Then all Hell broke loose. And it was hot enough to begin with.
The rarities and semi-rarities came fast and furious just like the playing. I got to hear two songs I've never heard the band do before.
Some nights are just better than others and this was one of them. Joe played at least one song off every cd he has out with the exception of Rock and Real. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I'd guess it just happened. Perhaps it was the powder blue shirt he donned for the second set.
Highlights for me were Swimming With The Sharks, Touch the Rain, and Happy.
Of course seeing Tom Breiding up on stage was a thrill. Bill without a guitar mugging it up as he sang and Joe playing some smoking leads really mad the song the highlight of a highlight filled show.
Spain get ready.

I'd love to see Art play an upright bass!!!
"Unplugged" for the Houserockers means mostly acoustic guitars with the electric guitars making a few appearances, too - like they did at the Robinson Mall show.

I'd like to know what "unplugged" means too. I'd guess, acoustic guitars, stand up bass, soft percussion and grand piano?
