Hi from Madrid, Spain. Great concert of Joe and the boys here last week. What do I say? No great, wonderful. The day after the concert, Joe, Marc and Willie Nile went to a radio station for an interview. The talked more than one hour about their music and careers, and played some songs. Joe and Marc played "True Companion" and "A Long Way", Willie Played "The Road to Calvary" and the three men did Willie's "Hard Times in America". I've got soundboard recordings of the songs. I hope the HR come back to Spain next year.

Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers will be returning to the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Friday, July 22. Grushecky will be joined by his special guest, Jesse Malin, who will perform with his band. Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan and Dawne Allynne will also be appearing.
Grushecky, from Pittsburgh, has been playing the Jersey Shore regularly since 1981 when the Iron City Houserockers were joined on stage at Big Man’s West in Red Bank. Grushecky has played the Pony numerous times and has been joined by Bruce Springsteen many times including at each of the five annual Light Of Day benefit concerts for Parkinson’s research which Grushecky has headlined. Grushecky co-wrote “Code Of Silence” which earned Springsteen a Grammy in the best rock vocal category back in February.
This fall, Schoolhouse Records will release Grushecky’s first DVD. The DVD, Five Alive In Spain, was recorded on Grushecky and The Houserockers’ 2004 tour of Spain. Schoolhouse has released Grushecky’s three most recent albums True Companion, Fingerprints and Live: Down The Road Apiece. On the web: www.grushecky.com.
Jesse Malin, was the frontman for D-Generation, an in your face, glam New York punk band. Jesse who counts Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer as two of his musical influences has successfully bridged the gap between his new solo career and his punk past. The Heat and The Fine Art Of Self-Destruction, Jesse’s two solo releases have garnered critical accolades.
This summer Jesse has been locked in the studio recording tracks for his next solo album and also for an album of cover songs. Jesse and his band will headline the Bowery Ballroom on August 25th. On the web: www.jessemalin.com.
Joe D’Urso is currently on tour in Italy. D’Urso’s two most recent releases are a compilation on the Schoolhouse Records label, Best : 1991- 2003 which contains 16 fan favorites along with three unreleased track and 3 Days In Italy, which captures Joe and the full Stone Caravan band performing in Rimini, Italy. On the web: www.jdcaravan.com
Dawne Allynne is a Long Branch based veteran of the Shore scene. She is currently recording her debut album, True Believer. Dawne will perform many songs from the upcoming release during her solo acoustic set. On the web: www.dawneallynne.com.
Tickets for the show are on sale now through Ticketmaster, the Stone Pony box office, Music Today and the usual local Stone Pony outlets. On the web: www.stoneponyonline.com www.ticketmaster.com www.musictoday.com
Antigone Rising will not be performing.
