Just saw the video. I have to say I'm impressed. What a great tease for the actual dvd. Good job screwdevil and to the band as well.
Also to answer Joe's question, yes I like the online journal thing. I hope it stays and becomes a regular part of the website.

I first saw the Iron City Houserockers at the Scorpion in State College, PA back in 1982. 23 years ago??? Guess so. Even said a few words to Joe Grushecky on the way back from the head! Saw 'em again at Kendrew's Lounge in Aliquippa, PA a couple of years after that. Miss those old days, working all afternoon and into the evening, with all night left for knocking back a beer and listening to that old music that no one plays much anymore. Hideaway, Old Man Bar, Junior's Bar, Love's So Tough . . . Joe, thanks a million for all the good times back then. Next time I'm in PA I'll have an Iron City, a Rolling Rock, a Stoney's, and a Straub in your honor (and in that order).

Thanks, I check the site pretty darn often for your gigs. Dont get to as many as I would like, but we try. I introduced my wife to your music, "our music" and she is a true fan of real music. Your music is played with feeling and sweat, they way rock n blues is meant to be. Thanks for all the years I have been a fan. The years at the Decade sunk the hook and you have never disappointed since then.

Hi Everyone . On Sunday, August 21, we are playing a picnic at the Serbian Club in Biddle, which is a small coal mining town In Westmoreland County near Irwin . The club is the old company store of the Biddle Mine. The community there has been using the club as its social hall for the last 75 years. Over the past several years , the club has been repeatedly robbed and is financial trouble. Now this is the town where I grew up and the Serbian Club is the only place where I saw my Dad play in a band. Losing the club would be a tremendous blow to the everyone. Please come to the picnic, bring the family, and help us keep the club open. Thanks Joe G

Your post is 100% correct. I have bough every cd available. Joe is gracious in letting us tape and trade and it helps spread the word, however, we must make sure that enhances sales of the officially released stuff so make sure all who have gotten the benefits of the band's taping policy support the upcoming releases.

So much for getting any work done today! The sample from the upcoming DVD is absolutely incredible!!!!! I have played it 6 times already this morning and have most of my staff watching it!!

I absolutely agree with you. I have been listening to Joe for years but have only recently became a "serious"fan so I am in the process of building my collection and I plan on doing it by purchasing everything. Sharing of live recordings taped by a fan is one thing, to burn/trade official material is not fair to the artist at all. Good post Hank!
