Hiya Joe.Second year for me now at the LOD Shows, it's great that a lot of us make it over to attend the shows, we have a great time. Both years have been very different, but both superb in their own way. You were absolutely fantastic and I thorougly enjoyed your full band performance at the Starland, but it was so good to see you Acoustic on the third night. The new Songwriters In The Raw was a good move and very different to other years and it was really good to hear you Acousitc as I've only ever seen you with the Houserockers over the years. Also, thanks for your time saying hello at the Pony!!! Catch ya down the road again sometime. All the best to you all!! Jackie xx

For me "Rock and Real" is it. Rock and Real is Joe and The Houserockers boiled down to its most basic elements, lyrically and musically. If you wanna know what the Houserockers are all about, this is the record to start with. Even with all the records and songs they have recorded since, and all the flourishes they have added to their repertoire over the years, you can still hear the sound of "Rock and Real" in all their new songs and performances. It's really that simple.

I love them all but I think Coming Home is my favorite, too. I don't know if it is the best from top to bottom but I just cannot listen to "Everything's Going To Work Out Right" any way but LOUD. "It's A Hell of a Life" is one of my top songs as well. I think "Cheap Motel" is one of Joe's most underrated works. I hope the band is in town when I visit Pittsburgh next June.
