The DVE Morning Show is now taped on Thursday night and replayed on Friday morning. They've done it that way all this year (for the World Tours). I went to the Halloween Show at Cefalo's on a Thursday night and what they do is tape the skits and music guests and then add the songs later. So the show only takes 2 hours instead of 4 hours to tape live. Their reason for the change is more people can go after work than 6AM in the morning.

I'll put some Christmas songs as well as a bunch of new stuff (Bill's new CD etc) on Brick Alley when I get back on Friday - traveling right now.

Can some Houserocker Christmas songs be but into the mix on Brick Alley Radio? While I agree with the past comments about Mustang Sally, I would love to hear Run Run Rudolph on Brick Alley Radio. Nice that 5 Alive in Spain and the Attic Collection is there.

All of the songs on Outtakes and Demos are great. There are enough new songs that I'm thinking of making a new homebrew CD out of the just the new tracks! I like hearing early versions of the songs that were later released commercially. Especially easy to make out some lyrics that couldn't be understood on the commercial release due to the final mix having the instruments overpower the words. Appreciate having on CD some songs that I have only heard played at The Decade 25 years ago, like 'Let The Boy Rock'. A great double CD, at a bargain price!

What does everybody think of “Outtakes & Demos”? What are folks’ favorite tracks? This is such a diverse and fun album to listen to! I experience something different every time I play it! Some of my personal favorites are “Angels” (so different lyrically and musically from the version on “Cracking Under Pressure”); “I Know What You Need”, “She Keeps Me Laughing” and “Let It Slide” are also fantastic! If album isn’t already in your CD player, it better be on your Christmas list!

Although we're probably not going to make it into the 'Burgh this weekend, It'd be cool if Joe were to play "It's Christmastime" from the old 'DVE Pittsburgh Rocks Christmas compilation CD, I haven't heard him play that one in years and it's still one of my favorite Christmas tunes. To me,"Run, Run Rudolph" has been done to death by now (sort of like the "Mustang Sally" of Christmas songs. I know, everybody's going to get mad at me for ripping on "Sally", but I don't need to hear that one anymore, too many other great songs that don't get played often enough!

Hope we get to hear "Run Run Rudolph" at the shows this weekend. I remember a few years ago the 'DVE Morning Christmas show at Fat City and Joe performed solo. He sang "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire." Too slow Joe - need some rockin' Christmas songs!
