You'd have to ask Joe about "Radio Ears". There is no mention of Donnie Iris on the 45 jacket or credits. Joe sang and played acoustic guitar & mandolin on "The Promise" - a song on Donnie's 1999 album entitled "Together Alone".

The flip side to "Stand Up (Valley of Steel)" was "Victory", put out as a 45 by Green Dolphin Records in 1985. "Stand Up" was written by Joe Grushecky and Mike Stout. "Victory" was written by Mike Stout & The Brick Alley Band. Record was produced by Art Nardini.

I belive Blondie was the flip side to the 'Hideaway' single. Goodbye Steeltown had the flip side of 'Stand Up/Victory'.

Wasn't "Blondie" on the 45 flip-side of "Good-Bye Steeltown"?? Anyone? I think Joe's dad gave me this 45 for the Manor Legion Juke-Box some years ago.

Regarding the "Outtakes and Demos" CD, I have to agree that every time I listen to it, I find something new to like about it. I have to admit that I'm kind of partial to disc one (although they're both great). The alternate (or original?) versions of songs like "Touch The Rain", "Angels" and "Blondie" are incredible! Time and repeated listenings will determine whether they're really "better" than the album versions or is it just cool to hear "different" versions of the old songs? We also really like the unreleased songs such as "Let The Boy Rock", "Close Enough" (on which you can hear the 90's era Bruce influence) and "The Coaches Son" (which, as Joe says in the liner notes, any ex-little leaguer can definitely relate to). All in all, it is absolutely a great CD for any Houserockers fan to enjoy!
