Great show last night, particularly since the band had to overcome a) a crappy venue, b) that crappy venue's decision to have two (!!!) opening acts, and c) an audience of Creed and Nickleback fans (apparently), who were unmoved (except to the exits) by a set of rowdy and truly inspired rock and roll by the Houserockers. I've seen our guys recently at Hartwood, Northway Mall, and last night, and these are among the best Joe shows I've ever witnessed. Ever since I turned 21 too late to see the original ICHR, I've been offering thanks that Joe has still been out there playing rock'n'real. If the future is indeed uncertain, as my other heroes in the Clash liked to remind us, then you better get to tonight's show at Cefalo's or the January show at Rhythm House, or both. This is one of the great, unsung lineups in rock history, and, as cheesy as this may sound, I have always, always felt honored to be able to see them. (Oh yeah -- I also picked up the Outtakes/Demos CD (great!!! more of this stuff, please!!), and the Ram's Head DVD. Go buy this stuff, people!) And it was great to finally meet Zeke, whom I had to restrain from jumping up on stage for Santa Claus. ;-)

REALLY GREAT ad libs by Joe during "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" last night at the DVE Christmas Show at the Hard Rock!!! .Randy joining Traffic; Jimmy Krenn getting a Grammy for comedy; Big Ben getting a chance at the Super Bowl; and everyone having a Happy New Year! Big Ben sang the "better be good for goodness sake" line! And Big Ben was taking photos of Joffo during the song. The place was packed! Pumping Iron sounded awesome on the radio this morning. Going back for lots more tonight at the Hard Rock.

I saw Joe in Buffalo at a bar in Buffalo called "Nieches? (spelling?). Very cool. It was right after American Babylon came out. Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly, and Alex Van Pelt came in, and stayed for the whole show. I asked Thurman about that whole mishap about misplacing his helmet.he didn't think it was very funny. The band ROCKED HARD that night.

Joe, two requests for HRC this Friday. A cover."Wild Horses," (I love your version of the Stones classic). And how about busting out "Angela" again?? Haven't heard that since Cafe Supreme a year or two back. Can't wait for the show.

I remember hearing "Close Enough" for the first time, years ago at the Manor Legion (prior to American Babylon coming out). I remember then thinking "What a great tune.this fuker smokes!!!" To this day, I can't believe it hasn't been on an official commercial release. Wow!
