Could you let me know the line-up that played on this dvd? Was the harmonica guy in the band? Was there a piano player? Also were there 2 guitarist or just one? While I enjoyed the stripped down version from Spain, I love the bigger band stuff. I heard a bootleg with what sounded like a choir singing back up too. Is this dvd from that era? thanks

The Ram's Head was filmed at the Ram's Head tavern in Maryland around the release of the Coming Home CD. I don't know the exact date. Joe had me take his tapes and put it on DVD. It is a great show. The set list is killer and the performance is incredible. Joe kicks off the show with a great story about having kids. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy if you get a chance. You'll be glad you did

I wanted to say THANKS to Joe and the Houserockers this past weekend for two great Holiday Shows! I agree that the Decade Reunion Show was totally hot  Also, I would like to wish to everyone, a HAPPY HOLIDAY AND A SAFE NEW YEAR . . . . until 2006

I have to agree with Joe about the Serbian Club gig.that was certainly one for the ages!! It was a perfect day for an outdoor show, the beer was cold, and the band was smoking hot!!

Oops forgot. When checking through this year's setlists, I saw that THE GOOD LIFE had in fact been played before. It was debuted at Melon Square solo acoustic w/ Marc

Sounds like I missed a good one on Saturday. I caught rock and roll flu on Friday night. Another great thing that happened to me at the Hard Rock. For my favorite shows of the year, I checked back in the guestbook to look at setlists. It would be great if these were in a dbase somewhere. Wish I knew how to do it. The Decade Reuion show was one of the best shows in years. Maybe back to the first set of the Coming Home CD release party. Also high up there was the rhythm house last summer during the Tyson fight. The AC went out and it was hot!!!! Third I'd put the rain show at South Park. That many people stayed wow! Finally the CNN show at the Hard Rock. Lots of energy, great crowd and soo much fun.

Hey Joe, It's cool to hear what shows stood out in your mind this year and it was especially cool to find out that one of the few shows we got to come in for was on the list (Moondogs Decade Reunion). I said it before and yes, I'll say it again. That was definitely the best show I've had the pleasure of seeing you guys do (as well as the best crowd) in a long time! I'll truly never forget it. It really did bring back some great old memories of a great old bar (that just keeps getting "greater" as the years go by.) I only hope that something can be done to save Nick's Fat City before it too becomes just a memory (or is it already too late?) Anyway, thanks for a great 2005 and looking forward to more in 2006. Just keep the music comin'! Merry Christmas from your friends on the shores of Lake Erie!

Here are my top Houserocker gigs of 2005 ( in no particular order)

August 27 THE SERBIAN CLUB in Biddle PA, the spiritual home of houserockin'. This gig will forever be known for "The Polka." Bernie had to pinch it for Mr. Black Funk. "Hey Joffo can you play a play a polka?" sez me. "What's that ?" replied Mr. Simmons.

Sept. 10 CARNEGIE BLUES FESTIVAL fueled by a tv station's erroneous report of a Bruce appearance, it was nonetheless a great outdoor gig. We told everyone that Bruce was stuck in traffic on the Parkway West construction project.

July1-9 SPANISH TOUR one gig better than the other. I love that country.

September 9 STONE PONY A classic Jersey shore show

November 26 DECADE REUNION AT MOONDOG'S We whipped out all the old songs and played the hell out of them to a great audience.
19 December 2005 - Pittsburgh
