but Hank, Asbury Park is hardly your typical Jersey Shore town. Venture out a bit ! Most are affluent. Change is coming to AP, even the C-8 skeleton between the Berkeley and the Stone Pony will be coming down soon.

Don't worry about a bee's nest--it's friggin' February. What you should worry about is whether your door will lock or if you ever get new towels or not. Don't look to buy any toiletries in the gift shop either, although there is a sweet bicentennial t shirt in there I think. But the shore is the shore and ya gotta love it. So drink the cold beer at the Pony, listen to the boys and enjoy life. It could be worse.

Everyone be safe traveling this weekend. Think of those who are stuck here working. Joe, if you want to play Idiot's Delight I'd be obliged. It should be a great show. Watch the bee's nests if you're staying at the Berkley - redrum.

I’m breaking a court imposed“gag order” here, but the story needs to be told… Previously seal court documents reveal that Led Zep sued MCA for releasing a domestic band with a METAL in it’s name. Hence, The IRON City Houserockers had to be sacrificed to the label. MCA went under shortly afterward. One may ask, what about Iron Maden? Well, they’re European, and were left intact, and labeled as “noncompetitive.” So in short, Led Zep was worried that the Iron City Housrockers would steal their fans…

Just for the record, I too am visible in the photo on the back of the Have a Good Time.album. At least my hands are. I can identify my watch (and still have the watch for proof!). Maybe we should post the photo and see how many folks can be identified?

Yet Another Fan
This is a good reason for updating "The History of the Houserockers" portion of the site!

I believe it was Joey G. and The Brick Alley. When they struck a deal with MCA (Cleveland), the record company changed the name to Iron City Houserockers. I'm pretty sure this is how it went.

I think it was just "Brick Alley" I think the "Brick Alley Band" is the name of the band after the first break up.

Curious George
A friend told me the original HR's were called "The Brick Alley Band" "Brick Alley" was a Red-Light district in McKeesport, PA. Can this be verified?
