Warren King was one of the best, until he moved to Florida where he's now wasting his talents with a crummy little blues band.

Chuck H.
I would place Norman Nardini near the top of that list.

Pittsburgh is chockful of great guitar players, but, Bill Toms is right there at the top. He will be sorely missed by the HR's. This I'm certain of.

Sure, I agree that Bill is great. Not just as a guitarist but as a back up singer, song writer partner to Joe, and as an ensemble player. You can bet I'll be at the hard rock to enjoy his work.

That said, I'm excited about the Kean show. this is a challenge and Joe and the guys will step up - they always do. I can't wait for a great weekend.

Hope to see everyone there. FYI, tickets are 5 bucks cheaper if purchased in advance.

Also Zac wants to hear Down the Road A Piece. Thanks

yeah, but Bill's pretty special as a guitarist.

I think Wray played at Moondogs a few years ago... I guess that you all know, he isn't around any more...

I thought the Link Wray post was humorous - we need some levity sometimes! (No big on the anonymous posts). But what's the answer on Link Wray?
If I didn't have commitments this weekend - I'd have no trouble deciding about the theater show.

Nothing to do with the Houserockers but for those who were into 70's head banging the following is from MusicTap.net:

Upcoming Boston reissues: The high charting debut and the sophomore issue, Don't Look Back, will be expanded by Legacy with several live tracks that include "Smokin'" and "Foreplay/Long Time" on Boston and "Help Me", a non album live song for Don't Look Back. Both sets will be remastered from original masters and will also come with new 12-page booklets that contains new photos, new liner notes, and other goodies. The sets are packaged in Digipaks. These reissues will street on April 4. As a side note, watch out for a previously unreleased Boston Live album from Legacy in the very near future.

hey. I agree with Gena on this. Use a name or alias every time. That said, it is frustrating if you don't know what you're getting to attend. I know people that drove a long way to see several shows (last hard rock/opening for Gary US Bonds) and would have rather spent their money and time to come to another show.

Had I know Joe was going to sit in with No Bad Ju Ju, I would have made damn sure to see that (which no one ever posted on) even if it's not his new band (ha ha).
Knowing that this is a two hour show this weekend convinced me to make the commitment to attend. Of course, I'd love to know who the guest guitarist will be...

Living in Cleveland, I can empathise with "a fan" when it comes to trying to decide which shows to come in for. Sometimes that little bit of info (such as who might be the guest guitarist) will make the difference between when I try to schedule around one of Joe's shows. Unfortunately, we usually only make it to a couple shows a year these days and we like to make sure if we're going to "get our money's worth, in other words, we want to see a complete show (2 sets if possible) rather than coming in for a couple of songs or sitting through an opening act that we're not really interested in. It's a lot tougher when you live out of town AND you're a serious fan. To quote Joe (sort of) "there WON'T always be another show".
