Hello everyone, Any news on the rumored Las Vegas show? I just got back from the Burgh and missed the Houserockers once again. Really looking forward to the new CD! Later, LVMattyB

I think it's a better story if we give the credit to Jimmy.

That would have been Pittsburgh DJ Steve Hanson who coined that phrase I believe at the Iron City Houserocker reunion show at the Decade in 1984.

I think it was Steve Hanson or Jimmy Roach on that recording.

I can't take credit for coining the term "the band that put the sweat in rock n roll"...that was taken from a recording of the Iron City Houserockers, live, at the Decade. (Circa 1980)

I still can't believe Irwin's own, the legendary Dave Orell hasn't guested on guitar yet. What a landmark day that would be...and Jimmy Sinclair, Biddle's own version of Bill Graham, could ably handle the intros. "Ladies and gentlemen..the band that put the sweat back into rock and roll....."

Anxiously waiting for the new CD and glad its in the 'almost done stage'. Can't wait to hear "Safe at Home" - I will certainly relate to this song since I'm the mother of a 24yr old boy (man?)and have spent many nights waiting for the key to turn in the door! Hope to take a road trip up the 'pike' soon to see the great Rick W. play with the band. Take care.

Hi The new cd is in the "almost done phase" right now. There are 11 brand new songs on it includung a nine minute version of a song I wrote about a father praying that his son makes it home safely called (what else) "Safe At Home" that features several extended guitar solos. There are some really upbeat songs, a couple of pissed off ones, and (according to Johnny G) my best ballad ever, "Beauty Fades." All in all I think it is one of my best. The Hard Rock Date in May is with the "No Spring Chickens" The great Ricky Witkowski is playing with the Houserockers. Anyone who has ever seen Ricky preform knows that he brings an incredible amount of soul and energy to the table. he is one of the best guitar players I have ever played with and that includes the one and only Steve Cropper, the late great Mick Ronson, and of course, Bruce. Here is some info on the 7 Springs Gig. See you at Carhops on Sat. Come on down and hear us whip out a version of Poor Side Of Town Sat April 23 Annual Brewski Festival Seven Springs Exhibition Hall with the Pittsburgh All-Stars Showtime9PM
