"Oil for Blood" would be a great song. Although, there's more blood spilled, than oil.

Anxiously awaiting the new CD Joe! I loved your description....but what are the "Pissed Off" songs about....I'm assuming there's gotta be some commentary on this current mess in Iraq that our "wonderful" President still has us knee-deep in? It's a shame, this will be your third record since US involvement started over there. Wouldn't THAT be a great topic to put to bed?

The Spring Chickens is my Dad, Bruce Slogan the owner of Carhops on drums, and Jeff Garrison on bass. Sometimes Hermie Granati plays with them. They do songs like Wild Night, Let It Bleed, Hang on Sloppy, Mystery Train. Last week they played Kicks, For Your Love, and Poor Side of Town. The do blues and jam a lot. It's unreheared and loose.

As the proverbial "out of towners" who are only able to catch a couple shows a year, (We haven't been to one since the Decade Reunion show in November!), we're a little behind the times and wondering what's the story on the No Spring Chickens. Who makes up the band? Is it just the "Houserockers" playing under a psuedonym (different name)? It sounds to me like it would be a great show to see Joe doing some cool cover tunes. By the way, can anybody post a setlist? Also, does anyone have any info on a potential date for a CD release show for Joe's upcoming solo CD? We'd like to make our plans early for that if it's going to happen. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer all these "burning" questions!

OK...so what do Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Stones, Johnny Rivers, and Van Morrison have in common? All were covered (along with lots more good stuff) at Carhops on Saturday night by Joe and the No-Spring-Chickens. Do yourself a favor, and get out to this venue and see Joe, no matter who he plays with...you will not regret it.
