Having read a "Vote Santorum, Vote Pro-Life" flyer recently, I was highly pissed-off to think these Pr**ks would use this issue as a way to get elected! No Politician in their right mind has or would take on this delicate issue. It would be Political Suicide to tackle this agenda. But, I believe Santorum is desperate, and will try anything at this point. Politics as usual.

I think all of these "W" backers are afraid to admit they voted for the wrong cadidate, and are merely trying to save face.

For those who like "old" soul music check out the newly released "Stax Profiles" series. I bought Booker T and the MG's and the Staple Singers. The remastering is excellent and the tunes fab. The discs sound almost as good as that "old" guy who sings "You Better Move On" at Carhops every now and then.

Squirrel Hill Voter...Point taken, but I don't think I was insulting at all (OK, maybe last night's post would qualify, but that wasn't directed at anyone in particular, speaking more rhetorically to anyone who blindly agrees with anything they are being told). But if you re-read my initial response, I responded with data and facts. That didn't agree with what "Another Voter" said, so he blew me off in the next post. No big deal...but reread the past few days and you'll see that more than a few insults were directed my way-that's OK I'm a big boy). One of the things I enjoy about Joe's site is that when it comes to music, there are a lot of highly informed people who post here. That's cool that we talk about Joe, Hard Rain, and other artists. But we're not all 16 anymore, and it's nice to discuss the "serious issues" even if we can all agree to disagree.

Mark: Respectfully, I think "Another Voter," Jeff and Karen are referring to message TONE. If you re-read their posts, note the lack of personal insults. As for politics, long live us raging moderates, who persist in negotiating comfortable middle ground and peaceful compromise. Political Football: Apologies for annoying you. Why not try Billy's website for info on his whereabouts.

Check out James Hunter's new cd "People Gonna Talk". He is ( in my humble opinion) the best white-boy soul singer since the great Willie DeVille. The cd has a cool Sam Cook type vibe. Took johnny and the Fall from Grace boys to the Bamboozle Fest in NJ last weekend. Taking Back Sunday is one of the best bands I've seen period. Great front man, great playing, great songs. Check out their new cd also. Will keep posting new/old stuff Thanks Joe G

My thanks to Shel and Steve C for the Light of Day videos from the acoustic show. Nice 2 camera mix & great sounding audio. I think Joe's guest guitarist on the Only Lovers Left Alive clip is Jorge Otero from Spain. Lake Pontchartrain is the whole song - definitely check these out on the home page. I didn't realize the show had been filmed so this was a nice surprise.
