Dave - That poll you're trying to "pull-off" is a stupid idea!

Bad Dream and No Man's Land are two of my all time faves. As far as your poll Dave, I'd have to go with The Who at Live Aid, followed closely by Zep's Atlantic Records performance.

I'm anxiously awaiting the new disc; Mulk's review certainly whetted the appetite. While I thought it had some good songs, I wasn't a big fan of Fingerprints. So I'm holding out hope that this new one is gonna exceed my expectations. It's funny, my favorite records are the ones that don't seem to get the fanfare. For instance, coming on the heels of the hysteria the surrounded American Babylon and the whole Bruce thing (remember THOSE days), I thought Coming Home was a nice little surprise, and it certainly is a standout for me. Sure it had the benefit of a Bruce appearance at the release party, but it didn't seem to generate near as much craziness as AB, and I think that Coming Home is a great record. Same with End of the Century-in my opinion a very underrated record. Extremely focused, and the horns were a nice little touch. It has always been my favorite Houserocker record, and nothing that has come along since has changed that opinion.

I can see Joe's lyrical style changing over the years....from the days of "Pumping Iron", and the "bars" and "drinking songs"...(when he wore a younger man's clothes)....to the current...where family is the priority in his life. Having said that, although the lyrical themes have differed, the music is as tight, and powerful as ever.
