Anyone get a setlist for Sunday? I'd love to know what they played.

The buzz and hype for Friday's show are shaping up to make it an epic performance. Joe's most popular cd since AB (or ever) radio support and great reviews. This one is shaping up to be one for the ages.

As 'American Babylon" again a very good new one. Thank you for going on making good music. Got 'A Good Life" in the mailbox today. Listening to it right now....and... I like it, as usual, very much. Since I am a big Bruce fan I like the kind of music you make. Same style..
Go on like this! GOOD Music!

FYI - Biddlefest XVII was an overwhelming success this year!!! I would estimate the crowd at over 600 people. So much wonderful talent performing. Thanks to all who attended!

From Sunday's Tribune Review by Rege Behe
Too often, Joe Grushecky is taken for granted in these parts, as if his day has come and gone.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
"A Good Life," a solo CD sans his longtime band the Houserockers, is Grushecky's most vital and stirring release since 1995's "American Babylon." Again, Bruce Springsteen is involved on "A Good Life," and it's obvious having his pal on board stirs something in Grushecky, as if he knows he has to be on his "A" game. Start with "Code of Silence," which ranks with Grushecky's best rockers. He and Springsteen exchange vocals, increasingly upping the ante as the song reaches its climax. It might be the best pure rock song this year. Other selections, notably the title track, "Beauty Fades" and "Nothing Without You" alternately evoke the joys and concerns of middle age.
But the album's masterwork is "Safe at Home," which clocks in at over nine minutes and is arguably the most adventurous song Grushecky has done. "Where is my Johnny? Is he afraid and all alone? When will this be over? When will he be safe at home?" Grushecky asks, sentiments that any parent with a child in the military will recognize. "Hold on everybody. Hold on to your lives. Hold on to your family. Ain't it good to be alive" Grushecky pleads before the song segues into one of the most lyrical and poignant instrumental jams of Grushecky's career.
But it's not all darkness. Grushecky knows that there is a need for release, for escape, and thus the buoyant sentiments of "Party Tonight": "I want to laugh, I want to sing, don't give a *** about anything."
In perfect world, don't we all?
