"Cd about family"

Code of Silence - sounds like a family about to split

Too Hot - incest and prostitution????

Searchin For My Soul - maybe grandpa lost it

Lake Ponchartrain - I didn't know Joe had family in Nola

Party Tonight - I don't think you should drink with your children

maybe the disc is about family or maybe it's about just life.

I think the political ongoings in the guestbook make for interesting reading.
AGL IS Political, it is obvious to this listener. And it's also plain to see Joe is bashing this current administration on this CD.

You don't have to ask me....Come to your own conclusions. That's why music is so great...everyone has their own opinion. While you can tell me that this cd is about family, and coming to grip with the fact of your kids now leaving the next...Well, I won't disagree with that. But I also will not ignore the obvious political undercurrent of the record, which Joe so cleverly wrapped up in a neat little package. Going from "A Good Life" to "Safe at Home" is brilliant because the contrast between the two makes them both more effective.

And who cares if Lake P wasn't written for this record....What's the point?

And here it goes, the guestbook's focus is now on people's personal politics as opposed this wonderful new cd which main themes to me appears to be family, personal relationships, and where his music has taken him into his 50's. God bless everybody's opinion and right to express it but isn't this great effort from JG where our thoughts should be right now? It seems unfair to Joe.

Yes politics

Despite Lake P. not being "written" for the cd it's on there cause Joe wanted it on there.

Also Code of Silence was not written for this disc either.

Then there's Searching For My Soul, which directly addresses the non-terrorism related aspect of the Gulf War (Iraq). The fact that he got Bruce to play on it shows that he wants it to get more attention.

Regardless of my agreement with Joe's politics on the war (which I'll bet aren't identical), this cd has many political aspects to it that should be and deserve to be addressed.

PS: Jingle Bells is 100% discriminatory to horses.

Despite the fact that Saddam was weakened from a decade of sanctions, despite our own intelligience that said Saddam had no power to threaten anyone let alone the USA, despite having no ties to Al Quada who was the real threat to us, that toothless tiger Saddam was so great a threat to the free world, he had to be removed from power by force.

Bush, stop the lies already! No one believes them anymore and you look more foolish than ever by repeating them over and over when your own administration has admitted the truth. Saddam was not a threat to us and never was. Rumsfield is now under the fire of Military Generals , its time to get these morons to step down
