LOD Sunday December 3: Streetlight Manifesto ????????????????????? This is intriguing!!! Was Marah ever there before? I don't beleive so. I like the fact that there seem to be less bands. I thought at LOD 5 it was too cumbersome. You'd just be getting into someone and they stopped.

"Jersey" you hit it on the head with fingerprints! ----Frankie was always hustling to make Sheila his steady girl One day Frankie hit the numbers - hundred dollars on 994 Frankie called up Shiela pleading for one last chance "Baby let me take you down - do you wanna dance?" Baby won't you dance with me?Feeling like a winner floating on a silver cloud With the windows down seats tilted back And the radio up so loud....

Also from the song, Fingerprints: "Mom was inside peeling potatoes, Frying hotdogs in a pan" really brings back some memories for all the afternoons spent playing in the yard waiting for Dad to get home from work for an (all too common) dinner of fried hotdogs and potatoes. (Lucky for us, Grampap worked at Heinz so there was always plenty of Heinz ketchup for flavor!)There's so many other lines that may have deeper meanings, but that one always brings a tear to my eye for the bittersweet memories it brings back. P.S. Hope you're doing well, Bob!

Our lifes all weave together like fabric in a cloth We all travel down a long highway until it's time for us to get off And who we are and what we'll be Is shaped by everything we hear and see By those we meet along the way Like our lovers our friends and our families Oh can't you see They leave their fingerprints on me

Prayers and healing vibes to Bob B. foremost. Thanks for keeping us in the loop about Bob's experimental surgery and Parkinson's in general. It's a devastating condition. I've watched it limit my elderly mom's mobility, erode her quality of life. . .which is why it's been so important for me personally to support LOD. Now, for my turn at expanding the fave lyrics thread: He said I'll give you something to cry about If you ever give up on your dreams I'll give you something to cry about Things are never as bad as they seem. from Fingerprints I can just hear the refrain playing in my head. How can you NOT be uplifted?

Perhaps my favorite new mantra: "I’m tired of serious, let’s get delirious”! (Party Tonight/A Good Life)
