last night was the perfect night for an outdoor show. In spite of High School Football, Rascal Flatts, a holiday weekend and a few other local events, I heard that there were 3,000 people there.
The best thing was that the people in attendance reminded me of an out of town show where the fans were up at the stage, dancing, singing along and having a great time. You don't know how much that is appreciated. Thanks to all there.
Ricky W. You're the bomb, man and Johnny G and the boys did a great job. That was my first opportunity to see the new band live and they definately rocked. I wish they could have played longer.
The food was good back stage courtesy of Pasta, Too and the hospitality was great.
Next week is Mellon Park, Kennywood and the Carnegie Bluesfest. I hope to see you all there.

Great weather, great friends, great music. We need more shows like that in the burgh. Johnny G your showmanship is the best. Loved your band. There had to be over 3,000 there according to the county employees working the venue. Also raised alot of money for the Millvale flood. See everyone next week at Kennywood.

I appreciate Steven King even if it's just easy for me to teach him. He's underated.
In the collection that includes the Body also has The Shawshank redemption, Apt Pupil, and Breathing Method. It's my favorite thing of his I've ever read.
I'd like to hear Not Dead Yet tonight for people celebrating their 29th birthdays.

I agree. Frankenstein was and is incredible. The movie, in the scene with the little girl by the water and the flower. Wow. Very powerful.
Johnny, Stand By Me is one of my favorite movies ever. It reminded me of when I was a kid and my close friends I had. We used to play on the train tracks in the woods down by the Fort Pitt Tunnels. What a great movie.

How about "The Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Another classic commentary on the human spirit and the good and evil that we are all capable of! Not to mention the chapter entitled "The Grand Inquisitor" which, for my money, is the most poignant critique of organized religion ever written!
I also agree with Danny - Stephen King is underrated - in most of his books, good triumphs over evil, the human spirit is affirmed, and the hero is usually an underdog like a child or an elderly person!
Maybe Joe should try his hand at writing a novel some day!

I'm with Zeke. One of my all time favorites.
Believe it or not, another of my favorite books is Steven King's The Talisman. It's filled with unforgettable characters including an old blues singer who reminded me of my dear friend Chismo Charles. A great book without the usual Steven King stuff.
